How to Smoke a Cigar
6 April 2011 in UncategorizedA few tips for beginners out there:
First off, you need to start by cutting the cigar just right. Try not to simply use a knife or a pair of scissors (and please don’t use your teeth!), but instead use a single or double blade guillotine cutter. Place the head of the cigar (the part that goes into your mouth) into the cutter and make sure to make about a 1/8th of an inch cut or less.
Once it’s cut, it’s ready to light. Remember to always use either a wooden match or a butane lighter because your traditional cigarette lighter will just give the cigar a bad taste. Hold the cigar above the flame while slowly rotating it to make sure it is evenly heated and you see a glowing, orange tip.
Now you’re ready to smoke. The key to having the most enjoyable cigar experience is to smoke slowly while taking in all the aromas and flavors that come with it. Remember, its not a cigarette so NEVER, EVER INHALE! Instead, take slow puffs over an extended period of time. Some cigars can take over an hour to smoke so get yourself comfortable, relax, and enjoy!
