Not storing your cigars properly can dry them out—no one wants that. For those that will be storing cigars for longer, you should consider investing in a humidor. If you just want to wait until after dinner or until your friends come over to enjoy your cigar though, here are a few tricks that can help keep your cigar fresher longer. While not ideal, this storage can be better than nothing.

• Keep your cigar in a sealed plastic bag or a properly sized Tupperware container (with a lid of course).
• Put a small, slightly damp paper towel or sponge in the bag or box, making sure it does not touch the cigar.
• Whatever you do, donʼt let your cigar get wet!
• To prevent mold, make sure you open the bag or box periodically.

Remember, this is only a temporary fix. This will not guarantee long-term freshness.
