Before or After Dinner?
9 August 2011 in Uncategorized“Cigars after dinner are delightful, smoking before breakfast is unnatural.” — Bernard Shaw.
Even after finding the perfect cigar to enjoy, you still have to decide when the best time to smoke it is. What a tough decision! While many think after dinner is the only time to smoke a cigar, there are far more variables to picking the perfect time.
A big factor in deciding when to enjoy your cigar is what type it is. If you have a strong flavored cigar, smoking it before dinner would leave that overwhelming taste in your mouth, interfering with your meal. Therefore, a milder cigar would typically be best to enjoy before sitting down to eat.
Time is another issue that must be considered. A slower burning cigar will obviously take much longer to smoke. If you begin to smoke one shortly before dinner, you have a time restraint. You don’t want your dinner to get cold, but you also don’t want to cut your cigar experience short. To avoid choosing between an unfinished cigar and a cold dinner, search for a cigar that burns quicker.
Some cigars pair better with certain foods and beverages, as well. So if you wish to have the best cigar experience possible, keep all of these factors in mind when planning your next cigar.
